Sunday ---- Long day, very long day. Woke up about 630 am I watched a little bit on the tv before Sandy woke up and we had to start our day. We checked out of the room that we stayed in had breakfast buffet at a local restaurant that was right next door to where we stayed and if I must say so myself it was pretty tasty. Then we got on the road and drove and drove till about noon when we finally stopped at a discount place. I got cigarettes for cheep like a really needed them and I got some stetson cologne for Ted, a gift set for like 12.00 not bad for stetson. Then we got back on the road and drove till we stopped for lupper ( you know between lunch and supper). From there the day went down hill the traffic was horrible past Fredericksburg Va. We are definently going to find another way home. We did not get in to my brothers house till about 930 at night. Went to bed soon after that.

Monday---- Day one of vacation, Oh my gosh what rain and cold boy is it cold. It is raining and it is cold this feels like winter for me. This is the kind of weather that I would build a fire in the fire place for. We got up went to breakfast at a restaurant that I used to take the boys to before moving away years ago. Some things have changed so much and yet then some have remained just the same. I am so enjoying my time with my brother and his family. It has in just this one day been such pleasure. We went to Cabelas for dinner and of course my honey had to look at the guns and things. It was interesting going out to a sporting goods store and having dinner. But I won’t tell my honey or my brother that I called it a sporting goods store. The best part about today was my girlfriend came over and brought he daughters and my god daughters daughter over. We had such a great day reminiscing of times of old and the days of the past. To see my god daughter all grown up and a baby of her own WOW! I just wish that I would have had more time with her.

Tuesday---- Got up this morning and went to the same place for breakfast. The food is pretty good. Sandy is missing the white gravy that we get in the south but it is only a few more days and then he can have some again when we get back home. It was a pretty good day today no rain clear sky’s. I took Sandy on a tour of the places I knew from growing up. I took him to the homes that I stayed in growing up. There is parking on the sides of the streets up here so Sandy said he would rather I drive and because I know where I am going for the most part. Actually I don’t mind on bit, as a matter of fact I prefer to drive. I also took him to a place called Road side America. Nothing but model trains valleys and villages. We had a good day. Now we are going to sit back and rest for the rest of the night. Tomorrow is going to be a busy day we are Gettysburg bound. I might be able to post this then if not I will post as soon as I can.

Thursday---- Wow I did not get a chance to post anything last night. We went out to dinner and had a few drinks before. Well the drink I had they only allow you to have 2 per night because it is so strong, I know why boy it seeks up on you. I can not hold my liquor any more. I got so sick. UHGG!! Today we tour the battlefield. I am going to try to post later.

What a looooooooong day it was. But it was so interesting. I got some really good pictures I will post after I get home. It is so tiring even doing the auto tour. You are stopping and getting in and out of the car so much. It really is amazing the history here. I know a little because of the re enacting that we do. As we were driving thru the tour I was looking out on the battle field and the different places of interest and I could just see the men out there giving up their lives for what they believed in. All I can say is wow. There was so much that we wanted to see we are staying yet another day. If we ever win the lottery we are going to come here and stay for one month just so we can see it all.

Well I am not going to post anything else now till after I get home so TA TA.

We have stopped for the day. We made it as far as North Carolina and we stopped and got a room. Thank God for wireless internet or I would not be posting this blog now. The ride so far is uneventful. My honey drove for most of the morning and I was napping. I took over driving around 130 in the after noon. We stopped around 6pm . We got a nice room at a super 8 motel and we got a sweet discount because Sandy is part of home land security. I am how ever very tire so this is going to be very short tonight. HUGS to all

YES!! It ia hump day and it is all down hill from here! Vacation is just around the corner.  I feel like I still have so much That I need to do.  I have my clothes all packed.  Elephants of my mother for my brother and sister in law.  but hummm  what am I forgetting keeps floating around in my brain.  HAPPY WENDSDAY! Here we are getting down to the wire in preperation for my vacation.  I am counting the days!

I had to take the dog to the vet again today!   She has alergies and I guess she will now have to get an allergy shot every month.   I would rather her get a shot every month then to have her skin and ears get so iritatedevery couple of months. Plus the monthly shot will be cheeper than getting the allergy shot and the antibiotic shot and the oral anibiotics. 

Yesterday at work we(the union) had our quarterly meeting with the company.  There are big changes happening since cingular has changed to the new AT&T.  We are excited and think that the meeting went very well.  One thing that was brought up was the turn over that we have and how to keep the employees that are there.  The truth of the matter is that todays work ethics are no where near what they were when I started to work.  Todays young people for the most part change jobs the way most people change there underware!  But there are big plans at my calll center as to what we can do to keep the people already there insteas of spending the money on training people who really have no plans on staying very long.  I can't believ that in january I will be there 6 years now.  I was brought up knowing that seniority ment something!

Any way more about all the prep for vacation.  We are getting things packed up that we need to take with.  I packed some of my mothers elephants that I am giving to my brothere with my dads blessings.  We have our guns that we are taking packed in locked gun cases.  We can not take any ammo with us we have to buy it once there because of crossing state lines we can not take both.  I am finnishing up the laundry today so I can get the rest of my packing done.  I have to get everything here at home done out side of work.

Nest week mty hours changed at work and I will be starting an hour later which means I have to stay an hour later.  That stinks but I guess that is life.  Have to make sure that Ted has everything that he may need here at the house while we are gone.  I have all kinds of friends who are going to be checking in on him while I am gone.  I trust him I just don't trust all of his friends.  No one should be here while we are gone.

Here it is today July 7^th I am really getting excited about my vacation! I am trying to get things in the house done before then. You know things like getting the place all cleaned up and getting all the laundry done that needs to be done. I don’t want to have anything laying around when we leave that way Ted will have to be responsible for what ever mess he makes. So far this morning I have started to organize the cabinets. They are all tore up things not put where they should have been. Ted tries to put stuff away but he just stuffs the things where they will fit. Not always in an organized way. But at least he tries. I was going to try to pressure wash the house today but not going to happen. Not high on the priority list. That can wait till after vacation. My main goal is to get the yard and the inside done for now. Today’s plan is to organize the kitchen and to get my laundry and yard work done. Oh yea if my friend brings her steam cleaner for carpets over I will be working on the carpets in the living room and family room. Hopefully I will be able to come by to visit you all. But if I don’t I have been thinking of you all I just have been so very busy. HUGS TO ALL
