A Summer Skirt Situation...
As the bus stopped and it was her turn to get on, a lovely looking woman became aware that her skirt was too tight to allow her leg to come up to the height of the first step of the bus.
Slightly embarrassed and with a quick smile to the bus driver, she reached behind her to unzip her skirt a little, thinking that this would give her enough slack to raise her leg. She tried to take the step, only to discover that she couldn't.
So, a little more embarrassed, she once again reached behind her to unzip her skirt a little more, and for the second time attempted the step
Once again, much to her chagrin, she could not raise her leg.
With a little smile to the driver, she again reached behind to unzip a little more and again was unable to take the step.
About this time, a large Texan who was standing behind her picked her up easily by the waist and placed her gently on the step of the bus.
She went ballistic and turned to the would-be Samaritan and yelled, "How dare you touch my body! I don't even know who you are!"
The Texan smiled and drawled, "Well, ma'am, normally I would agree with you, but after you unzipped my fly three times, I kinda figured we was friends." -

Well we are on our way home. I was ready. I did enjoy myself and the time I have spent with the family. I did not get to see all of the friends that I wanted to but I saw most of the family I knew that I was going to see. I did not get to see my son or the grand kids but I did not get my hopes up too much either. I did not want to be disappointed because I kind of knew that it would not happen. I don’t know where they live and have not been given an address so even if I would have had the time I could not have gone there. I will just wait for some day to come because I do know that some day will some day be here.
Let me tell you thought at the reunion it was awesome a whole day of socializing and visiting people that I have not seen in a while. My brother and his family from Florida surprised us they all flew up it was the first time we were all together in a long time. I have bunches of pictures that I plan on sharing with you all.
The reunion was so much fun and the food was great. We had a clown that came and played games with the kids and the adults, and face painting for all. We had a blast. We had a 50/50 drawing that I did not win. We also had a Chinese auction… gift baskets and crafts that family members make are put on a table and we get to buy chances to have our name drawn. Well I bought chances for everything. I made out pretty good. Once I get home I will take pictures of the 3 gift baskets that I won. Yippee for me.
I did not think that Sandy was going to stay all day. My family is quite a lot to take at one time. But he did and he was on his best behavior. He did not get cranky about the kids that were running around and yelling all day .. Heck I was one of them.! It was a long day we were there from 11AM till about 8PM s long day to say the least.
Yesterday we went to breakfast with all my brothers and their families. We had so many people that when we walked in to Denny’s they actually gave us a private room. It was nice though and then we got pictures of everyone. Then my brother who lives in Florida had to get to the air port to catch his flight home. We were close to the cemetery where my uncle Ted and my grand parents on dads side are so Sandy and I stopped by there to pay our respects. I had to drive around for a while till I found my way it has been so long that I was there but I did find it.
Later that night after the NASCAR race in which Tony Stewart won in Indy we went out to dinner with my brother Larry and his family. I gave them some elephants that belonged t my mom I gave my niece a music bx that was my mothers and We gave my nephew a copy to the auto tour cd because he will be going to Gettysburg with his scout troop soon. I had not sent to them. We had a great time with them.
I am sorry that the time with my family had to end but I am really ready to get home. It was fun but it is going to be wonderful to get back home and get back to normal.
Tuesday… Still driving wish that it was over and we were at home now!! Today it is 5 years that my mom is gone. I called Ted at home and had him go to the store to get mom some flowers. I sure do miss her!!!
Wednesday--- YIPPEE!!!! We are home! We got in about 1 AM this morning. I tried to sneak in the house to surprise my son but he had snuck out and surprised me. He had waited up and was watching for us. There were balloons on the door saying welcome home too. I was surprised that the house was in such good shape. Ted stepped up and did a very good job of taking care of things for us while we were gone.
The dogs were so glad to see us too. We could not go to sleep right away because they were just so excited to see us they could not contain them selves. Now today I am going to just take it easy unpack do laundry and just relax in my own home. I have to go to get ink for my printer to print out pictures and I do promise that I will post pictures on my space and on Xanga for all that wish to see.
